Hibberts Meekins First Generation Graduating Student Award nomination form

This $500 prize is awarded annually at the Last Lecture.

The Hibberts Meekins First Generation Graduating Student Award is presented to a graduating first generation university student who has funded their own education through a combination of work, loans, and financial aid. Self-nomination is encouraged.
 
The award was created in honour of Sandy (Sandra) (Hibberts) Meekins (’80, ’82), who was the first member of her family to complete a university education. After earning a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Education at ÕýÆ·À¶µ¼º½, she completed a Master of Education at Mount Saint Vincent University.
