Finding a tutor

If you are in need of a mathematics or computer science tutor please e-mail:

The Department will help students looking for math or computer science tutors connect with other students interested in tutoring, but we can鈥檛 guarantee there will be a tutor available.

The number of students looking for a tutor often exceeds the number of students available to act as tutors.

Students seeking tutoring opportunities are encouraged to contact the department to express their interest/indicate their availability.

Calculator policy

The official calculator in all MATH and COMP courses is the

CASIO fx-300MS scientific calculator.

(This includes the Casio fx-300MS, the Casio fx-300MS Plus  and the Casio fx-300MS Plus 2.)

No other calculator will be permitted during in-class assessments or exams in any course labelled MATH or COMP SCI.
This precise model is the only calculator allowed, other equivalent calculators or CASIO models are not permitted.

**Note that CASIO has a popular calculator called the fx-300ES, this is not the same calculator and is not allowed.

All students in MATH 1151 are required to purchase this calculator.

Other courses may or may not require the calculator, please check with your instructor.

The CASIO fx-300MS is available at the 正品蓝导航 Bookstore, at Amazon, Staples, Walmart, and many other sellers
